Peter Adams, aged almost sixty-eight years and a well-known resident of West Taylor Township, died last night at 11:30 o'clock after an illness of a few days duration. The cause of his death was an attack of dysentery, followed by pneumonia. Funeral services will be held at the home of his son-in-law, I. C. Stombaugh, in West Taylor, on Thursday afternoon, September 10th, the cortege leaving for Benshoff Hill Cemetery at 2 o'clock.

The deceased was a lifelong resident of the vicinity and in his youth was employed on the Pennsylvania Canal. He was a good citizen and enjoyed the respect and esteem of a large circle of acquaintances. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Jane Adams, six sons, and three daughters, all residing in West Taylor. The sons are S. H., George F., Alvin F., Alfred M., John and Simon. The daughters are Mrs. Catherine Clark, wife of Jerry Clark; Mrs. Della J. Griffith, wife of E. B. Griffith, and Mrs. Emma Stombaugh, wife of I. C. Stombaugh.
